About Us
The Texas Society, Order of Confederate Rose, Inc. (TSOCR, Inc.) was organized originally as the ladies’ "auxiliary group" of the Texas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans in May of 1995, with the Societys' Director being appointed by the Division Commander. The following year, the SCV General Executive Council ruled that the OCR would not be categorized as an "auxiliary group", but rather as a support group.

Now as a 501(c)3 independent incorporated entity within the State of Texas, the TSOCR, Inc. supports not only the local SCV camps in the Texas Division but also other historical organizations like the Confederate Cemetery Association and the Sam Davis Christian Youth Camp. Membership to TSOCR, Inc. is open to both men, women, and children over the age of 14. You do not need a Confederate ancestor to join. The TSOCR, Inc. also has a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors that plan on attending Universities, State Colleges, Community Colleges, or Trade Schools.

Our chapter; Alamo Rose #4 is the oldest & only OCR chapter in the 6th Brigade (South Texas Region) of the SCV Texas Division. As such we do not support one camp in particular, but rather all eleven camps and their activities & projects in their historical educational, benevolent, and social functions, especially assisting in the preservation of Confederate symbols and Southern heritage.
Membership into the TSOCR, Inc. is open to men, women, and children who wish to promote "truth in Southern history"; and to preserve and protect Confederate monuments and markers. Our members do not have to prove their lineage to a Confederate soldier. They support those who, fought and often gave their lives for Southern rights. Full membership rights are granted to those who are fourteen years old and up. Children below the age of fourteen are considered Legacy members.
